Acupuncture is a wonderful way to treat many conditions associated with pain. Whether the pain is associated with muscles, bones, joints or internal organs acupuncture can in most cases resolve or ease the pain.

Also, can be used as a complementary modality to conventional medicine treatment or can be used as an alternative form of medicine in cases where side effects of the medications or treatment provided by conventional medicine deteriorate the pet's quality of life.

Veterinary Care

The best practice of veterinary care is a combination of the fundamentals of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (Acupuncture, Food therapy, Tui-na & Herbal Medicine) and diagnostics and procedures offered by Western Medicine.

What To Expect On Session

The initial session is about 1.5-2hours where information regarding treatment is explained to the owner, an evaluation of the pet must be made, and documentation must be signed. Each session after the first may last about 45min to an hour depending on the conditions, comfort level of the patient, and the therapy is being used to treat.

Treatment Outcomes

Some results can be seen immediately, while others will require several treatments. Generally, a minimum of 3 to 5 treatments 1-2 weeks apart for chronic conditions are needed before one can expect notable improvement.

Safety And Contraindications

Acupuncture is a very safe medical procedure when administered by a qualified practitioner. Very few negative effects have been found in clinical cases. In spite of everything, there are certain contraindications of needle insertion based on the location of the acupoint or health status of the patient, such as: inserting a needle directly into a tumor or open wound, using a needle at acupoint at the umbilicus, the use of certain points in pregnant patients, the use of electro-acupuncture on patients who suffer from seizures, and hemo-acupuncture on weak or geriatric animals.

  • "Dr. Patino has a gentle but firm attitude to dogs. She has cured my dog of a torn ligament in each back leg and has reduced her weight which is good for her. My dog loves her, her acupuncture. and light treatment. She also treats my dog, who is big, 65lbs, with natural supplements that have been very successful. I am so grateful to her healing gifts which turned my dog from limping on three legs into walking without a limp at all!
    She is a true healer."

It's been already 1 year and 3 months since then and Dr Patino has done a wonderful jog keeping him healthy and comfortable as it should be.
